How to Access Android Files on a Chromebook

If your Chromebook supports Play Store apps, you can access Android files using the Chrome OS Files app. In this article, we will explore these options in detail.

To access Android files on Chromebook:

  1. Open the Files app.
  2. Click and expand My Files from the left-pane.
  3. Click Play files.
  4. You should now see Movies, Pictures, and Music folders from Android on your Chromebook.

By default the Files app only shows the following three folders:

  • Movies
  • Pictures
  • Music.

You can, however, view all the Play files and folders by selecting Show all Play folders from the settings menu. You will also see the “Show hidden files” option here.
