Editorial Policy

Chrome Story has covered the Google Chrome browser and Chromebook ecosystem since 2009. This page explains how we report, where our coverage comes from, and how we handle mistakes.

Mission

Our mission is to cover Chrome and Chromebook news, features, and fixes accurately and helpfully for everyday users worldwide — not just developers and power users.

Editorial Independence

Chrome Story is independently owned and operated. Our coverage decisions — what we cover, how we cover it, and when — are not influenced by advertisers, sponsors, or any outside party.

Advertising Disclosure

Chrome Story is supported by display advertising through Google AdSense and Ezoic. We do not use affiliate links, and we do not accept payment for sponsored or paid posts. Nothing on this site is written, edited, or ranked based on advertiser relationships.

Accuracy

Articles are checked against primary sources before publication wherever possible. When we get something wrong, we fix it — see our Corrections Policy below.

Sources

For news coverage, we link to primary sources directly — the official Google Chrome blog, Chrome release notes, and official Google documentation — so readers can verify claims themselves rather than taking our word for it.

Corrections Policy

If we publish something inaccurate, we correct it promptly. Material corrections are noted directly at the top of the affected article, describing what changed and when.
