How to Customize Microsoft Edge Sidebar

Microsoft Edge sidebar with a handful of features. You can add new icons or remove services you don’t use by customizing the sidebar.

Customizing Edge Sidebar

Let’s customize the Edge sidebar and make it look how you want. To get started:

  1. Click the three-dot settings menu in the top-right corner.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. From the left pane, select Sidebar.
  4. Click Customize sidebar.

You now have the customizing options open. Let us go over our options.

Adding Websites to Edge Sidebar

You can keep your favorite websites on the sidebar.

How do you remove sites from the sidebar? Right-click the site’s icon and choose Remove from Sidebar.

You can also scroll down to the bottom of the customizer and click Remove next to the websites you added.

Adding and Removing Apps on the Sidebar

Edge has many apps on the sidebar giving you quick access to your favorite services. You can customize this list by choosing what you want to show on the sidebar.

Use the toggle next to each service to show or hide it on the sidebar.


The Edge sidebar can be a useful tool if you customize it to meet your needs. Otherwise, it might turn out to be a messy list of icons that you don’t want to see on your screen.
