How to Share Your Chromebook's Build Details with Support

Every time you contact Google support or the official community forum, they will ask you questions about your device. This will include your Chrome OS version, firmware version, and many other things.

Google has made it easy to copy and share Chrome OS build details with a single click. To do this, open the Settings app and go to About Chrome OS > Additional Details and click the paper stack icon.

Pro Tip: Open a new tab and go to chrome://os-settings/help/details to access this screen directly.

Note: This feature is part of Chrome OS version 81. We are sharing these details from the Canary version of Chrome OS. You might have to wait till you get version 81 on your Chromebook.

My Chromebook sporadically shuts off. When I use Facebook or Facebook Messenger my Chromebook freezes. The screen will zoom all the way in and then freeze or go black and don’t reset until I force the system to shut down. Any suggestions ?
