Google is Working on ‘Password Sharing’ for Chrome

Share Passwords using Chrome

Google is working on a new feature that allows users to share accounts passwords among family members.

Password Sharing

A new experimental flag added to Google Chrome’s source code shows Google’s plans to add password sharing to Chrome. With the new feature enalbled, users will be able to share passwords with their fmaily members.

Here is the flag:

Enables password sharing: Enables sharing of password between members of the same family

It will be interesting to test this flag when it becomes available and find out how this feature works. Is this going to be a complete and automatic sync? For example, I add a new account password on my Google account and it automatically syncs across accounts of my family members?

Or, is this going to be a “send password” feature? Here is why I think this could be a “send” feature.

The feature request on bugs.chromum.org says: “Tracking Bug for sending passwords.”

What do you think? Do you like the idea of sharing passwords, or selected passwords between family accounts? Let me know in the comments section below.
