I have been using Google Chrome for a while now. Well, it has been years. I have customized Chrome to make it look and work the way I like.

What if I want to go back to how it was? Here is how to reset your Google Chrome browser to stock/default/vanilla, whatever you want to call it.

Resetting Chrome to Default

As usual, let’s start by opening Google Chrome settings:

  1. Click the three-dots settings menu.Chome Three Dots Settings Icon
  2. Choose Settings.
    Settings in Chrome Menu
  3. From the left pane, select Reset Settings.Reset Chrome Settings
  4. Click Restore settings to their original defaults.Reset Chrome
  5. Review the alert, and click Reset settings when you are ready.Confirm to reset Chrome

Your Google Chrome restores default settings. You can start using Chrome now or custmize it again. A fresh start.
