To enable navigation buttons on your Chromebook:

  1. From the launcher, open the Settings app.
  2. From the left pane, select Accessibility.
  3. Select Cursor and touchpad.
  4. Click and enable the Show navigation buttons in tablet mode toggle.

    My settings menu did NOT have the “show navigation buttons” option.
