If you have never heard of Duckduckgo, (DDG) is an internet search engine. It is not a web browser like Google Chrome. Google has made it easy to use Duckduckgo as the default search engine on Chrome. Here is how to do this:

1. Click the three dots settings icon on the top-right corner of Chrome.
2. Choose Settings.
3. From the left pane, click Search Engine.
4. From the Search engine used in the address bar dropdown, select Duckduckgo.

Your default search engine is now DuckDuckGo. Open a new tab, type in a query into the address bar to test this.

You can make DuckDuckGo your default browser on Chrome for Android too. To do this:
