Night Light, the feature that is available on phones and computers is available on your Chromebook too. This article explains how to enable Night Light.
Enable Night Light
The easiest way to enable Night Light is from the notification area or the system tray. To do this, click on the bottom-right corner of the screen where the time and battery icons are displayed. Click the Night Light icon to toggle Night Light “On” or “Off”.
Using this Night Light shortcut icon you can enable or disable Night Light at any time of the day. You can also automatically enable Night Light every evening.
Enable Night Light Automatically
To automatically enable Night Light:
- Open the Settings app.
- Click on Device > Displays.
- Toggle Night Light “On”.
- From the “Schedule” drop-down, select “Sunset to Sunrise” or “Custom”
- If you select Custom, use the slider to select the time period that you want Night Light to be enabled.
Change Color Temperature
Chrome OS also gives you an option to customize the color temperature of the screen when Night Light is enabled. From the same screen where you enabled Night Light, use the slider next to Color temperature to do this.
