Chrome OS now allows you to sort apps on the launcher. In this article, I will show you how to sort Chromebook apps while in tablet mode.

I am yet to find out a way to sort Chromebook apps while in desktop mode. However, if you are using your Chromebook in tablet mode, here is how to sort your apps.

Note: If you do not have this feature on your Chromebook yet, please wait and try again after the next Chrome OS release.

  1. Long-press anywhere on the desktop. The customization menu appears.
  2. Tap Sort by and select from one of the two sorting options: by name or by color.
