Chrome Adds a “Launch on Windows Startup” Toggle

If you wanted to open Google Chrome every time you log into Windows, this wasn’t easy. There were workarounds for this, but there wasn’t a built-in setting to do this.

Until now.

Google is working on a new setting that’ll let you launch Chrome on Windows startup. Here is the experimental Chrome flag that I noticed.

Enable launching Chrome on Windows startup: When enabled, Launch Chrome on Startup can be turned on from Settings

The new flag is currently available on the Canary channel of Chrome. When you enable this feature, you’ll see this message first:

Chrome Open at Startup
Chrome Open at Startup

You can always go to settings and enable or disable this feature. Here is how it looks like in the Settings page:

Open Chrome at Launch on Windows
Open Chrome at Launch on Windows

It will take a few weeks for this to be available on the stable version of Chrome. However, I am sure there are many of you who will be ready to test this way before that.

Are you excited? Let me know in the comments field below.
