Edge usually updates automatically, but you can check manually:
1. Open Microsoft Edge
Click the Edge icon to launch the browser.
2. Go to Settings
a. Click the three dots (...) in the top-right corner.
b. Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
3. Check for Updates
a. On the left sidebar, click About Microsoft Edge.
b. Edge will automatically start checking for updates.

- If an update is available, it will begin downloading.
- Once done, you’ll see a Restart button. Click it to complete the update.
Tip: You can directly open the update page by typing
edge://settings/helpin the address bar.
Update Microsoft Edge on Android
- Open the Google Play Store.
- Tap the search bar, type Microsoft Edge, and open the app page.
- If an update is available, you’ll see an Update button. Tap it.
Update Microsoft Edge on iPhone or iPad
- Open the App Store.
- Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Scroll to find Microsoft Edge in the pending updates list.
- Tap Update next to it, if available.
Enable Automatic Updates (Optional)
On Windows:
- Updates are handled by Windows Update.
- Ensure automatic updates are enabled in Settings > Windows Update.
On macOS:
- Updates for Edge can be managed using Microsoft AutoUpdate.
- To launch it, open any Office app and go to Help > Check for Updates.
Check Your Current Edge Version
- Type
edge://settings/helpin the address bar. - The version number will be displayed at the top.
- If you see “Microsoft Edge is up to date,” you’re on the latest version.
