If you’re using Google Chrome on your iPhone, the Reading List is a handy tool that lets you save webpages to read later—even when you’re offline. Whether you saved an article days ago or just added one this morning, accessing your Reading List is quick and easy once you know where to look.

What Is the Reading List in Chrome?

The Reading List lets you save webpages in two categories: Unread and Pages You’ve Read. Chrome automatically separates these, so you can easily return to articles you haven’t finished or revisit something you already read.

How to Open Your Reading List

  1. Open the Chrome app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap the three dots in the bottom-right corner to open the menu.
  3. From the list of options, tap Reading List.
  4. You’ll now see two sections: Unread and Pages You’ve Read.

Tips for Managing Your Reading List

  • Swipe left on a saved item to delete it.
  • If you open a page from your Reading List, it will automatically move to Pages You’ve Read.
  • Want to remove a page from Pages You’ve Read? Swipe to delete it just like in Unread.
  • To move an item back to the Unread list, touch an hold and item and choose Mark as Unread.

Can You Add Pages to the Reading List?

Yes. While you’re browsing, you can:
a. Tap the Share icon (square with arrow).
b. Scroll down and tap Read Later (this saves the page to your Reading List).

Does It Work Offline?

Yes—pages saved to your Reading List can be opened even without an internet connection. Chrome automatically caches the content for offline viewing.

When to Use Reading List

Use it when:

  • You find an article you don’t have time to read now.
  • You’re planning a trip and want pages available offline.
  • You want a simple, clutter-free way to save and revisit articles.

The Reading List is lightweight and easy to use. It’s one of the most practical tools for anyone who does reading or research on the go.
