How to Sign Out of Google Chrome (Windows, macOS, Linux)

Looking for a way to log out of Google Chrome? Here is how to do that if you are on desktop, or mobile.

From Chrome Settings

Chrome - You and Google
  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Go to the address bar and type: chrome://settings
  3. Under the “You and Google” section, click “Turn off” next to your name and email.
  4. Confirm sign-out and data handling.

How to Sign Out of Google Chrome on Android

  1. Open the Chrome app.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu > Settings.
  3. Tap your Google account at the top.
  4. Tap “Sign out and turn off sync”.
  5. Confirm the sign-out.

How to Sign Out of Google Chrome on iPhone or iPad

  1. Open the Chrome app.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu (bottom right) > Settings.
  3. Tap your name at the top.
  4. Tap “Sign out of Chrome”.
  5. Confirm the sign-out.

What Happens When You Sign Out

  • Sync stops across your devices.
  • Your bookmarks, passwords, history, and other data stay on the device (unless you choose to remove them).
  • You’ll stay signed into other Google services in the browser unless you sign out separately at google.com.
