Guest Mode lets anyone use your Chromebook without signing in or seeing your personal files. It’s great if you want to lend your device without giving full access.
What Guest Mode Does
- No Google account needed – Users don’t need to enter a Google ID or password. It’s a quick way to let someone browse the web without setting up a new profile.
- No access to your files, bookmarks, or history – Everything in your account stays private. The guest user can’t see your saved documents, browser history, or any custom settings.
- Everything gets wiped when the guest signs out – No data is saved from the session. Once the guest logs out, all downloads, cookies, and site activity are deleted.
- It’s private, temporary, and secure – Guest Mode creates a clean environment. It prevents accidental changes to your setup and keeps personal info safe.
How to Open Guest Mode

- Turn on your Chromebook
