here are the key features of the official ChatGPT Chrome extension:

  • Real-Time Web Search: ChatGPT can search the web to provide up-to-date information, including news, sports scores, stock quotes, and more.
  • Integrated Search Results: When using search engines like Google or Bing, ChatGPT’s responses appear alongside traditional search results, offering a conversational perspective.
  • Default Search Engine Option: Users can set ChatGPT as their default search engine in Chrome, allowing direct queries from the browser’s address bar.
  • Source Citations: ChatGPT provides links to relevant web sources in its answers, enabling users to verify information and explore further.
  • Manual and Automatic Search Modes: ChatGPT can decide when to search the web based on the query or users can manually initiate a web search by clicking the web search icon.
  • Enhanced Browsing Experience: By integrating ChatGPT into the browsing experience, users can obtain concise, accurate answers within the search engine interfaces they already use.

These features aim to blend the benefits of a natural language interface with the value of up-to-date information, enhancing the overall browsing and search experience.
