Google is improving the screenshot editor tool on Chromef or Android. I recently told you about emoticons coming to the editor. The latest version of Chrome Canary has a few more tricks up its sleeve.
Screenshot Editor V2
The new screenshot editor is currently an experiment behind the following flag:
Screenshots for Android V2: Adds functionality to the share screenshot panel within Chrome Browser on Android.
On the Canary channel, open chrome://flags and enable this flag to test the new screenshot editor. So, what can you do using the new screenshot editor?
You might have seen emoticons from my last article.
Now that the team has made some progress with editor version two, we can add shapes and text to screenshots.
You can choose the shape, say, rectangle, circle or arrows, and then change their color.
You can also add text in multiple colors.
As I mentioned in the previous article, I do not know if a mobile browser should have a powerful screenshot editor tool. I would rather use a tool that comes with my operating system.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this. Let me know in the comments field below.
