Chrome OS will soon let you set different wallpapers for your active desks. The Chrome OS team is currently working on this feature.
Setting different wallpapers per desk
Google is busy improving the virtual desks feature. We recently saw an option to save desks as templates. Today, I can tell you about yet another desk-related feature coming to Chrome OS. Here is the experimental flag that I spotted on the Chromium Gerrit website today.
Enable setting different wallpapers per desk: Allow users to set different wallpapers on each of their active desks.
If you are a fan of the virtual desks feature this will be a huge win for you. It definitely makes your desktop beautiful. However, individual wallpapers will make it easy for you to identify different desks while you swipe through them.
I am hoping to see this flag working in the Canary channel of Chrome OS in the coming days. So come back later for screenshots of this new Chrome OS feature.
