Lenovo Adds a Chromebox to their “ThinkCentre Tiny” Line Up

Lenovo has an interesting desktop computer concept called “Tiny in One”.  It is an all-in-one with the flexibility that regular all-in-ones give. This is modular and you can easily upgrade, and configure according to your needs. Watch this video to find out how this concept works:

Lenovo is adding a Chrome OS option to this line up, calling it “ThinkCentre Chromebox“.

The Lenovo ThinkCentre Chromebox Tiny desktop is one of the first 1L desktops in the industry. Complete with flexible mounting solutions, including support for standard VESA mounts, the Chromebox Tiny fits just about anywhere.

From what I read, you can either buy just the Chromebox, or the full combo.

The ThinkCentre Chromebox Tiny will be available in June starting at $199. ThinkCentre Tiny-in-One is available at $279.

Lenovo does not have detailed spec information yet. All we have for now is this list of ports: “4 USB 3.0, 1 HDMI, microphone/headphone combo jack, integrated DisplayPort, Ethernet

Since Lenovo is a brand that schools and businesses trust, we can expect this device to gain some momentum in the Chromebox market. However, I have no idea how big the Chromebox market is. No one seems to be sharing any numbers there.

What do you guys think?
