Google Chromecast Launches in Taiwan

Our beloved Chromecast streaming dongle has made it to Taiwan. The device was launched in Taiwan this Thursday and  is priced locally at NT$1,390 (US$44.6).

If you are from Taiwan, you can buy Chromecast through stores operated by telecom firm Chunghwa Telecom Co. and Web portal PChome’s online shopping site.

For content, users in Taiwan has Google Play Store, and cloud-based movies provided by Chunghwa Telecom or streaming music offered by KKBOX Inc. This I am sure will gradually grow as Chromecast gains ground in this new market.

So, if you are from Taiwan, go ahead and buy a Chromecast, and watch your stuff!
