Chrome will not load any webpages without adding the -no-sandbox option.

Setup - Windows 7

Trouble shooting steps - I have uninstalled and reinstalled both chrome and chromium. I have tried the newest dev version as well. Chrome will also not work on any other windows profile, or browser profile. Doing a system restore is not an option, as I disabled this for other testing. I have also ran many virus scans with Eset Nod 32, Super Antispyware, and Malware Bytes. All of these have turned up a clean system. IE, and Firefox both work fine. I have removed all extensions, and removed flash from the browser.

The only way to get chrome or chromium to work is to add the -no-sandbox option to the startup target. I do not find this a valid fix, as it leaves the browser open to vulnerabilities.

I have looked high and low across the great plains of the internet, and I have not found any fix options.

Please say that Google has a fix for this. If not, can someone with super powers please fashion a fix-all solution to end world hunger? Oh and Can you help me with my problem?

@ChromeStory,

I can't find any way on this forum to contact you, so hope this method works ...

I have an idea for a forum specifically about Extensions and wandered if you are interested in pursuing the idea ...

I have tried to get the Admin over at ChromePlugins interested but to no avail ...

You can find my idea here ....http://www.chromeplugins.org/google/chrome-talk/recommended-extensions-9343.html#post22446

I believe there is a vast audience for a forum that majors on advice and recommendations for extensions, especially when you consider there are now over 3000 extensions available on the gallery ...

If you're interested can you email me to discuss further ...

I will like to get some discussion about this. Sometimes I have around 20 a 30 tabs open in chrome, this is quite a lot, this gives tabs sometimes not even a favicon. Their are some extensions that gives a vertical list of your tabs. But I don't want to click a button to view my tabs.
So a vertical list that is permanent viewable left or right can be an option. But that takes a lot of screen space.

I thought firefox had something like scrolling on the tabbar. with your mouse on the tabbar and scroll with the wheel. That is an option I think I like. In the configuration panel something like tablength.

What I really want to see in chrome is some kind of favicon maanager. Maybe integrated in the bookmark maanager. At the first place to give favicon's to websites you bookmarked. And I also like to give your tabs also favicon's, if they had no one. I think only those you bookmarked.

Chrome beta for LINUX on my Ubuntu 9.04 loaded quickly and is fast. Two questions:
1/ I can't get YouTube videos to play. I have flash players loaded. Ideas?

2/ Since I downloaded Chrome from the Google site (not available through Ubuntu package manager), will Chrome just update on it's own? There's not "check for updates" capability by going to "About Chrome" like I would in Windows.

I installed Chrome a few months ago and all was well untill yesterday. Now when I open Chrome it doesn't come up full screen. It won't let me drag it far enough to the left to get my pointer to the maximize box. When I hit F11 I lose the back and forward arrows. I tried unistall and reinstall with the same results. I'm a computer dummy so this is very frustrating.

I've been using Google Chrome (browser) since it was released to the public. But recently, I haven't been able to load any YouTube videos. I can still watch the videos, as long as they're embedded on another website.

I have the latest flash player (flash 10).
I have updated Google Chrome to the latest version.
My computer meets the requirements of Chrome.
YouTube loads on any other browser.

I run Windows XP Pro with service pack 3.

Hi guys, there's this option in chrome where you can choose and replace the fonts displayed on websites. This option though, does not apply to every website. So is there a way to make it work like in firefox? where you can choose whether to use the fonts that YOU want and for every single website?
The thing is that chrome's font rendering is OK. Sites like facebook and twitter look terrible, and this does not happen with other browsers.

I was just wondering if there's a way or an addon already out there, that lets you quickly resize the chrome browser to a specified screen resolution. This would be really useful for Web developers until somebody is gracious enough to port Firefox's Web developer's kit completely to Chrome :) . I'm presuming this should be easy with basic Javascripting, but I'm a newby in this, so waiting for some expert light.
Cheers
