First off, we are talking about early development or beta version of all three browsers, and when the final product is out, things may change.
Now, here is the deal.
Sebastian Anthony of Downloadsquad took all three browsers, their latest beta or dev versions with hardware acceleration enabled, for a spin and he has a good news for Chrome users. Chrome 7 seems to be performing better than Firefox 4 and IE9. This however comes at a cost, a high amount of resource usage compared to the rest.
From my personal experience with Chrome 7 with hardware acceleration enabled, things are brighter
