When the beta version of Chromium based Flock was released last month, the Chromium discuss groups saw many people requesting Flocklike sidebar options on Chrome as well. Well, looks like we have some good news here.

Google Chrome is planning to add a sidebar API which will in turn give us more extensions with those sidebars. Expect a twitter extension which will show your timeiline in a sidebar !
The proposed API allows Chrome extensions to access and control Sidebar – per-tab split-pane HTML container to the left (to the right in RTL environment) of the main page content with the ability to resize horizontally. Currently implemented under –enable-experimental-extension-apis flag.

But… the image you have in the post is of Side Tabs… not of the sidebar extension API.
hmm, dont think so, I got this from the sidebar API documentation … I think this is correct !
Start Chrome with –enable-vertical-tabs, right click on one of the tabs and check “Use side tabs”.
sidebars and side tabs are different .. correct ?
Sorry! you are correct.
