With the next stable release of Google Chrome, the “Go” button on the address will be history. It has been removed on Dev channel already as part of the improvements to the UI.

The new UI is still being developed or finalized. But, one thing is sure. the Go button is gone. Now, don’t panic if you think you can not live without one. There is already an extension out, which will give you the icon back, right next to the Omnibar.
So, as a backup plan, keep this extension ready, bookmark it along with this blog post

When I ran across this in DEV release for first time I was upset.
Finally realized that the first suggestion below the bar is always exactly what has been typed or pasted.
So instead of mousing to a [GO] button and clicking, mouse down one line and click.
thanks for the comment, I sent u an email !

Haha, do you ever use that button ? Just hit enter and voila !
yep, that’s the idea behind the new design, but still there are people who use it, I believe
I’m really sad about the go button. It was so much quicker to right-click/paste/and go than to drop the mouse and hit enter. I guess I’ll have to learn to love the drop-down list :’(
