Firefox team is planning to implement App Tabs feature in the next stable release, Version 4.0. This feature has been added to the second beta version of Firefox 4.
As far as I know, App Tabs were first announced and implemented by Google Chrome …. any other opinions or information guys ?
I downloaded and tested firefox beta 2 with the app tab, and they work like pinned tabs on chrome. I couldn’t find it doing something different to call it “App Tab”. Correct me if I am wrong.
On Google Chrome, App tabs are supposed to be something different than pinned tabs. I am pretty sure that there are loads of features being planned and being implemented these days.
Is Firefox going to catch up ? or, will they let Chrome Web Apps work on Firefox too like Extensions do ? What do you think ?
