iReader Readability Extension for Google Chrome

iReader for chrome

I had shared a reader plugin that clears all the clutter on the page you are on, and gives a better reading environment, while discussing Safari 5′s new features. Now Geek107 told me about a better extension for this feature. So here it is,

iReader allows you to view news stories and other articles in a single clutter-free page. It strips out the ads and extraneous layout and displays the article in a very easy to read, scrollable display.

While reading an article, simply click on the iReader icon next to the Omnibar, and you will get a new interface which will be easy on your eyes. This extension has a Keyboard shortcut also, (Ctrl+Shift+P) for Windows and Linux, and (⌘-Shift-P) for Macintosh.

Install it from Here

Is this a better extension ? Try it out and let me know !

how many extensions have you installed ? did you check the Chrome Task manager to see which tab or extension is taking too much memory ?

It works well, but one major feature is lacking and that is the ability to pull in the whole article if it spans 2 or more web pages. So at the moment Safari Reader is still better in addition to being quicker and more efficient. Apple did a good with the Safari Reader function especially at the first release.
