Facebook hired the Guy Who Built Google’s Chrome OS

by Dinu on 29/06/2010

PapakiposFacebook has hired Matthew Papakipos, the engineer who started and lead both the Google Chrome OS project and the Chrome WebGL GPU hardware project for hardware-accelerated graphics.

He says that Google Chrome OS is in a good shape now, and its time for something new. How will Google take it, I am not sure since Chrome OS is something that they have big plans for. What do you think ?

For us, those crazy people waiting for the release of Chrome OS, this gives another strong signal that we are close to the launch date.

Have you started saving up for your Chrome OS Netbook ?
