Extension sync comes to Google Chrome , Dev version that is, for now. When I wrote about this feature coming to Chrome soon, I didnt expect it landing on the Dev version so fast. Now, it wont take much time before it is available for everyone else !
You will be able to sync extensions through multiple chrome installations very soon if you are using beta or stable version of Chrome. In simple words, once you install an extension, it will be available on all chrome browsers you use if synced ; just like we sync all our bookmarks now )
It’s not enabled by default, so you won’t see it in your sync options menu unless you activate the feature via a command line switch. –enable-sync-extensions –sync-url=https://clients4.google.com/chrome-sync/dev turns it on
Stay tuned for more updates on this feature !
