The question is, why do you DON’T linke portable apps. I use them not at the moment. But they are handy. A friend of me use portable apps very often and has a portable app that is a so called launcher app. With that menu, he get’s immidiatly to all his portable apps.

on school is it very nice to have it, if you don’t have a laptop like me. Just an USB-stick with everything on it you need.

gradually, Chrome will not need a portable version at all, because the whole browser is in the Cloud :D

Portable apps, like all software have there place. I have used portable chrome for about 6-8 months now on my work PC. Using bookmark sync and (soon to be released) settings sync., I can browse sites at home and work in a standard format. Portable Chrome, allows for less conspicuous browsing in a work or public computing setting, as well.

On a side note, having a portable app of Utorrent is very nice when traveling out of the country and trying to keep up with your TV shows!

:D cool

but, do u think we will need a portable app for chrome when the full profile sync is done ?

provided, u have chrome available on other systems …

full profile sync has nothing to do with portable apps. You will need the browser. If you get on a computer which is not yours, it is nice to have chrome. Because not on every computer chrome is installed or may be installed.

HEY , Me too , not fan of portable application . But I always favor that you should try Portable application for looking if you like the thing or not . If you like then you can install its full version . And sometimes software crashes your system . In portable you will never face this problem .
