Did you know that Google Chrome is not the only Chromium based Web Browser ? Okay, read on, Here is ChromePlus, another Chromium based browser.
note: I haven’t tried this myself, I may as soon as I get time. If you guys can try this out and share a review here, you are always welcome !
The website says, ”ChromePlus has all the functionalities that Google Chrome has. More, ChromePlus added some useful features such as Mouse gesture, Super drag, IE tab, etc. Meanwhile, ChromePlus is free with no function limitation and you can use ChromePlus to surf the internet in any case”
Check out the features page here for more information on the additional stuff available on this browser. I liked the “double click to close the tab” feature. The ”Super Drag” or “Drag text to search” feature is actually available on Google Chrome, so its not a big deal, even IE tab and and other features listed there can be added to Google Chrome with extensions.
Chrome Plus is available for Linux too !. For people who love to play with different browsers, this should be another interesting one ! Don’t forget to post your comments here !

I first used ChromePlus (CP) about 6 months ago long before extensions became available on the Beta and Stable channels.
At the time I was looking for a suitable Portable version of Chrome and CP filled the void.
At the time it was in advance of Chrome because of it’s use of Mouse Gestures and IE Tab and also had a lot of functionality aready ‘built in’ for functionality that you needed to have ‘command line switches enabled’ in Chrome…
I haven’t looked at it recently but think it has now slipped behind Chrome in it’s functionality, however it is still an extremely good alternative to Chrome …

Just a quick add-on to my original comments …
To re-iterate CP, when it was originally released, was in advance of Chrome in a lot of the features it offered (IE Tab, Mouse Gestures etc) all of which can now be emulated through the addition of extensions …
Perhaps it’s biggest advantage these days is that if you install it to both your desktop and ‘pen drive’ you have exactly the same GUI and features enabled automatically …

Why I started using it? It has the ability to close tabs by double-click. Yes, that simple. This function is still unavailable via Chrome extensions. There is only one extension imitating this, named «Double Click Closes Tab», but you have to double-click on the page to close a tab, which is unacceptable.
The only bad thing about CP is that the releases appear very slowly. For instance, the actual stable build of Google Chrome is 7.0.517.44, and the latest CP release uses Chrome build 6.0.472.63. Nobody knows when it will be updated. Also, it always has a number of annoying though harmless bugs.

The ‘Mouse Stroke’ extension is something you need to look at …
For instance, I’ve got it configured to allow only 1 Click to close a particular tab (even simpler than your solution in CP !!!
Thanks for suggestion. I have installed this ext, but can’t get it to do anything after clicks. This ext uses mouse gestures, but not clicks…
