Chrome OS menu, is a crucial part of Google’s Chrome OS’ User Interface. Web applications are added to this menu, for easy access, and you get customized versions of few Google products too.
This menu is still under development, and certain stuff may not work as you expect them too, but still, I found it useful. Here is a post with less text and more pictures, to tell you what it looks like, and in couple of days, I will have a post ready for you all, on how to set this up for your computer as well !
So, basically, the Chrome OS menu looks like this. Click on the image to view a larger version.
Most of these icons are links to their respective websites. Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail, Google Reader,Google Calender Google Docs, Youtube, Picasa, Hulu, Lala, Pandora, Books, Facebook, and twitter work like this.
What about others ? Let me explain.
“Contacts” icon will open a popup, just like a webmessenger for Google Talk. You can chat with your friends from there, add contacts, view all contacts, and also search contacts.
Now, Calculator Looks Like this
The Todo List is still under development. Only people inside Google can use it, because when you click on the icon, the popup asks you to login to “google.com” ie, the Google Apps Domain used by Google employees. Your Gmail account will not work here. Here is a picture of it.
The Calender panel looks really cool ! Check it out !
So, did you like this ? I am sure you did … and I also know that you want to have this on your computer too ! Simple Subscribe to the RSS feed or through email here, and I will publish my post about how to set this up, this week itself. Stay tuned !
