Chrome Cricinfo ExtensionAre you a cricket fan ? Someone always keep a browser tab open for cricket news and scores at work and at home ? Here is a chrome extension to make your life easy

The official ESPN Cricinfo Chrome Extension. This extension shows you the latest cricket news, features and live scores from cricinfo.com.

In addition to alerting you about a new story on Cricinfo.com via a small notification badge, we also show the current scores in a tooltip when you hover over the extensions’s icon. You can also select one or more matches to follow and the extension will update you whenever a wicket falls.

I have seen many at work keeping a browser tab open for cricket news, since they can not go and watch the match, even if they want to, very badly.  This extension is dedicated to all you guys :)

Oh yea, I haven’t gone crazy, there is an extension that does “nothing”. Name of the extension is “Nothing” and the description says ”This extension does nothing.”

And now, see stats for this extension “464 users – Weekly installs: 6,383″      Oh !!!! Really  ? Click here and see for  yourself, if you don’t believe me.

There is an excellent comment left by a user called Khristian A. Schönrock  ”It’s so good, I didn’t even install it and I can already see the improvements in my browsing experience!

Next Step, Full user profile sync on Chrome

by chrome story on February 20, 2010 · 4 comments

Picture of Google Chrome OS Sync

Google Chrome will add another feature soon, allowing you to sync the user profile with multiple computers, not just bookmarks, but your theme, browser preferences etc.

This will be yet another powerful feature for Google chrome, and at the same time, will be a another step towards Chrome OS. Because when Chrome Os hits the markets, users are supposed to have seamless integration of user experience on any system they login with Chrome OS.

In recent Chromium nightly builds, code has landed which will extend sync capabilities. I am  yet to see any changes related to this on the UI, but will post them as soon as I see it :)

Another thing I am waiting to see on Chrome Browser, from the Chrome OS demo is those lovely panels. I want to have my gamil chat window persistent, moving with me to all tabs.  It’ll be really cool right ?  I hope it wont take much time since Chrome Os should come out this year itself !

Ah !! this is tough !! don’t make me wait too much Google !
