by chrome story on December 23, 2009 · 0 comments

Google is doing a lot during this Christmas season, especially with Chrome browser. First, they made us Send Google Chrome as your Christmas Gift. Now, here goes a Google Chrome Advent Calender Ad.

“Google Chrome, the big G’s web browser and fledgling operating system, is touting itself with a giant advent calendar projected onto the wall of a shopping center in London. The calendar [is] counting down the days until [Christmas] on the side of enormous shopping complex Westfield in Shepherds Bush, West London,” wrote Daily Mirror.

“Blog This” is a Google Chrome Extension from the Blogger team which helps you post to your blogspot blog from Chrome, with a single click.

Click the button to open Blogger in a new application window. The new post is pre-populated with a link to the web page you’re on, as well as any text you’ve highlighted on that page.

This will be really helpful for anyone using blogspot to blog from. Well, me being  a wordpress fan, should look for a new wordpress “blog this” extension ? :D

Install the extension from here

If you start playing around with Google Chrome Extensions, you will end up installing many extensions, like me.

Each time you need to change something on extensions or uninstall any, you will need to go to menu > extensions .  “Extensions” extension will add an menu button to your chrome toolbar, where you will get access to your installed extensions with single mouse click ! See the image ?

Useful Isn’t it ? Download and Install it here.

Official Google Chrome Extensions Gallery Open Now !

by chrome story on December 15, 2009 · 2 comments

Yes, Google Chrome’s official extensions gallery is now live. With more than 300 extensions, this is a cool place for you to hang out, and take your chrome browser for a ride.

I have been using extensions on my developer version of chrome for past few weeks. ( running developer version helps me bring you more news about chrome at the earliest ! ). It was a nice experience, and will take your browser to the next level.

I really enjoyed  the google taks plugin, the google reader plugin, and the pagerank plugin etc.  I will be testing more plugins in coming days.

Just like extensions taking chrome to next level, the extensions gallery will take chromestory.com also to new level. I will be writing more about plugins in coming days, and will help you dive deeper in to the extensions gallery that google launched.  I will bring you more plugin use, plugin reviews etc.

Stay tuned. !
