by Dinu on 24/04/2009

I am thinking that Google has  a very well written plan for the development of Google Chrome, and they really expect something bigger from it, I would think. See this news now. Google added 3D API to google chrome.

3D capability for browsers will take online gaming to the next level. You will see even more interactive and interesting games online. Not just games, we can not even predict how web will evolve with 3D support. Hope our cutiee Chrome leads the 3D web browsing era ! Good luck Chrome !! Here is the demo video

Now, here is the whole deal, from Google Chrome Blog

This API allows for the development of sophisticated 3D applications that rival experiences one would expect in native applications. Technology like this will eventually make launching high quality games as easy as clicking a link in your browser.
Read more about O3D on the Google Code blog or explore the API at code.google.com/apis/o3d.
