I am not using Google Chrome, Because ….

by Dinu on 12/03/2009

Hi there, please help me spread the word about my new blog, chromestory.com !!”   “Sorry dude, I hate Google Chrome“. That is a conversation that I get in to quite often these days. There are people who do not use Google Chrome, and people who hate it. If you are one of them, this post is for you.

I am sure that you all have tried Google Chrome for a while. So, you will have some feedback, or comment about Google Chrome. How was the experience ? Did you move out because Google Chrome was not good, or your old browser was better than Chrome ?

Is it becasue of missing features, or plugins, or themes ? Or, do you just hate anything about google ? !!  ( Really? ) Answers please !!. Is there anything that Google Chrome team can do, to bring you back to Google Chrome ?

1. every website is insecure, to some extend .. :D google is no exception
2. Everyone is trying to monopolize .. :D Google, MS, Yahoo! .. everyone !! Google was very close.. but even Google can’t do it .. twitter is emerging as something that it needs to worry about ..
3. good :) hope Chrome also reaches that level :)

I tried Google Chrome for a couple of months, and liked a lot of things about it. I retreated to FireFox because I could not get Chrome to remember passwords consistently. And, yes, I have read many posts offering solutions, but I could not get any of them to work.

I don’t like Chrome because I live on an boat and rely on slow connections and prepaid bits and bytes. Chrome uses to much bandwidth for checking updates. Also, I do not trust Google if it concerns privacy.

I just wish there was an option to select how long to keep history and delete cookies. Even antiquated Internet Explorer has these options. In the name of simplicity Chrome left out basic features.
