Google Chrome as your Primary Browser ?

by chrome story on March 6, 2009 · 8 comments

When Google Chrome was released, it was a big news, because Google was its creator. But, the buzz around google chrome went down when people started complaining about Chrome’s issues, and missing features. I continued using google chrome because it was fast, and light. ( But, I had to keep firefox also open along for certain things. )

Gradually, I came to know that even though the buzz had died down, there were people still using google chrome as their primary browser. So, there is something that made people stick to google chrome, and make it their first preference, even though this number may be very small.

Still, the question remains, is Google Chrome ready to be your Primary browser ?

The answer depends on your web browsing requirements, things that you do online, websites that you keep visiting, addons that you are using with firefox, which you can’t live without etc.

If you are using firefox with loads of addons, and if love changing firefox themes, you are not going to like google chrome ( yet ) because it does not support themes and plugins as of now. If you are a linux or mac user, you can’t use google chrome at all … its still under development for mac and linux users.

So, if you are using windows, and tried chrome at least once …. you will have something to tell me .. sure … well, we have the comment form ….

Just bought a new computer. Vista’s working just fine (love the bubble screensaver) Told myself I was just going to use MS products, MSN homepage, live search etc. But being a Google boy from way back I started sliding back. DL Firefox, set iGoogle as homepage, Google search as default. Finally to complete my googleization I DL Chrome last night.

I like it, looks good in Vista and I like the new tab page. With 8 g’s of ram on this machine it loads like right now! It’s really all I need from a browser. Spell Check could use some work and I do miss the adblocker. But it’s not a deal breaker and it’s my default browser.

I use Google Chrome as primary browser for several reason, it´s fast and has a lot of good features and I really like the simple design of it. The thing I like the most is how easy it is to search on Google with Google Chrome and it´s made by the almighty Google which is always a plus, these guys really knows what they are doing!

I use Chrome since it came out I love it Because is fast and light, love the omnibar, I was using windows instead of Linux only because of Chrome. Now that I was able to install Chrome in Ubuntu I’m back with Linux.
